How to anonymise text before sharing
Paste the smallest useful excerpt, run detection, then compare the sanitised output with the source. Automatic mode covers the available detector categories; Custom rules lets you choose them. Reverse pronouns is an optional transformation, not an anonymisation guarantee.
What can I upload and export?
Upload .txt or text-based .pdf files. Review PDF extraction before sanitising: columns, scans and unusual fonts may not transfer correctly. Copy or download plain text. The original PDF, embedded images and file metadata are not redacted.
What do the highlights mean?
Labels such as [Email 1] mark detected values. Counts describe detections, not a privacy score. Missed names, unusual secrets and indirect identifiers can remain. Review unhighlighted text too.
Where is text processed?
Text is sent over HTTPS to the sanitisation API, not processed entirely on your device. Only share content you are authorised to submit. Read the privacy details and evaluation limitations.
